The Efficacy & Safety of Tosufloxacin Tosylate Therapy on the Acute Infectious Diseases in Otolaryngology

Abstract
|
|
|
To evaluation the efficacy and safety of tosufloxacin tosylate therapy on the treatment of acute infection in of otolaryngology. authors selected 35 patients with acute otitis media. acute rhinosinu-sitis, acute tonsillitis, and acute pharyngitis, who visited the department of otolaryngology of the National Medical Center. Tosufloxacin tosulate was given orally to the patient(450mg/day in three divided doses) for 10 days following results were obtained.
1. The overall efficacy rate was 92.4% in clinical trial.
2. The susceptibility of Tosufloxacin tosylate showed good sensitivity for Streptococcus and Staphylococcus.
3. Generally, the side effects were minimal, but indigestion (2) and constipation (1) were noted.
